Independent Health Care Service offers the services of Registered and Enrolled Nurses to the Public & Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes in Southern Tasmania.
Our personnel come from a variety of nursing backgrounds and are able to offer a complete range of specialised skills in order to meet the needs of health care facilities. Nursing personnel are available 365 days a year for long or short term placements in areas such as acute care, aged care, paediatrics, intensive care and emergency medicine.
As the agent for these services, Independent Health Care Service ensures that all personnel are provided with Workers Compensation Insurance, Public Liability Insurance, Professional Indemnity Insurance and the compulsory superannuation costs.

Care Facility Information
Every effort will be made to provide the personnel requested, however Independent Health Care Service requires at least 4 hours notice be given for night shifts and as much notice as possible for all other shifts.
Nursing agency personnel will be paid by Independent Health Care Service and an account will be sent to the health care facility for services rendered.
Health care facilities will be charged for services of personnel according to the rate established by the Enterprise Agreement for individual organisations. For Registered Nurses this will be Level 1 and the appropriate year. In charge allowances will be paid at the current rate.
A service fee of 28.5% will apply to all Health Care Facilities who access our nursing agency services.
