Registered Nurses are available in your own home to assist with daily hygiene, showering and dressing and to attend to wound care or any other nursing procedure as required by your doctor or when discharged from hospital.
The Registered Nurse will work closely with:
a your family doctor
a medical specialists
a community resource people
a family and friends
All persons who are Department of Veteran's Affairs Gold Card Holders may access this service without cost following referral from their doctor.
Persons who are members of Health Insurance Funds and who have 'Extras' cover may be eligible for a refund for Nursing Services. Please check with your fund.
Carefully selected Personal Carers are available to help with such tasks as showering, dressing and grooming, meal preparation, light household tasks, shopping and transport to appointments and respite.
Home Help personnel are available to assist you with household tasks which you may find difficult to perform such as vacuuming, washing, ironing and general cleaning.
Handyman services include gardening, wood chopping, window cleaning, gutter cleaning and household repairs.
If you are caring for an aged or person with a disability at home and require respite, our Home Care Assistants are available for 2 to 24 hours. Emergency Respite is also available 24 hours a day through Emergency In-Home Support.
